Dear Parent/Guardian,
The Hempstead School District is pleased to offer a half-day Elementary Summer School Program for students in Grades 1–5 for Summer 2026.
Program Details
- Dates: July 6–July 30, 2026
- Days: Monday through Thursday (No school on Fridays)
- Time: 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
- Locations:
- Joseph A. McNeil Elementary School
- Rhodes Elementary School
Students will be served breakfast from 8:30–9:00 a.m., with instruction beginning promptly at 9:00 a.m. A bag lunch will also be provided daily.
In addition, Summer Camp will be offered from 1:00–3:00 p.m. at both elementary sites. More information about summer enrichment activities will be sent home separately by your child’s school.
Action Required
Please complete, sign, and return the summer school permission form to your child’s teacher no later than Friday, May 22, 2026.
We encourage all Hempstead elementary families to take advantage of this academic support and enrichment opportunity.
