Ms. Crystal Miller Selected for Prestigious National Grid Energy Literacy Fellowship

The district is proud to recognize Ms. Crystal Miller, a 4th grade teacher at David Paterson School, who has been selected as one of only 10 educators nationwide for the highly competitive National Grid Energy Literacy Fellowship—an international professional learning opportunity for educators.

Developed by National Grid in partnership with Earth Cubs, the fellowship recognizes outstanding educators who demonstrate a strong commitment to innovative instruction, STEM learning, and preparing students to understand the energy systems shaping today’s world. Through this program, Ms. Miller will participate in advanced professional learning abroad focused on energy literacy, sustainability, and real-world applications of science and mathematics.

Ms. Miller’s selection reflects a dedication to engaging students in meaningful, future-focused learning. This opportunity not only highlights professional excellence but also brings valuable knowledge and instructional strategies back to the classroom and the district.

As part of the fellowship, Ms. Miller will collaborate with educators from across the United States and the United Kingdom, strengthening instructional practices and expanding opportunities to integrate energy literacy and STEM learning into elementary education.

The district congratulates Ms. Miller on this well-deserved recognition and celebrates the impact of excellence in teaching.
